Celebrating your baby’s 1st birthday is a monumental occasion. And what better way to mark this special milestone than with an exciting Cake Smash and playful Splash!
Every child is unique, and so I’m committed to creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for them where they can truly shine.
You’re always welcome to join in for some updated family portraits too before we bring out the cake.
Simply select your favourite colour scheme, and I’ll design a stunning setup that ensures your little one remains the star of the show. I even provide the cake too!
How It Works
1. Booking
Just select your chosen date and time with our online booking calendar below.
We understand that some babies are morning babies and some prefer afternoons, so we’re happy to accommodate that and work around your baby’s nap times.
2. Session
Held at our lovely photography studio, it’s a beautiful and calm place to visit whilst we create magical portraits of your baby.
Elli is used to working with babies of all ages. She’ll let them get used to the studio environment & spend some time with them before pulling out a camera.
3. Viewing
We will invite you back to the studio to enjoy a beautiful presentation of your stunning portraits on our large screen.
It’s a delightful and relaxed ordering session, what you fall in love with and choose to purchase is entirely up to you.
What can you expect from your Cake Smash at our beautiful Lincolnshire Studio? A brilliant session which has three main elements. First we start with some beautiful portraits of your little one, and you and any siblings are welcome to join in too. Then we bring in the cake and let them enjoy the excitement and of course the delicious taste. Finally, we finish off with a splash in a bubble bath, which means you get to leave the mess behind and take home a clean baby!
I’ve worked with hundreds of babies, so whether your little one is shy, a bundle of energy, or even flits between the two, you can be assured that your baby will have fun, and above all, is in safe hands.

Your Questions
What age should my child be?
Cake Smashes are typically a time to celebrate your baby’s first birthday, so around the one year mark is the perfect age.
However, families often like to have the session a couple of weeks earlier so that they are ready to share with the world on the big day.
Even if you’ve missed out on a first birthday session it’s never to late to celebrate your baby, so we can still have a beautiful portrait session, with or without a cake 🙂
Can you photograph my children together?
Absolutely, portraits of our children together are often high on every parent’s wishlist and we are more than happy to do that.
We will photograph your children both together and separately. It’s wonderful to capture their special sibling bond and connection, and it’s equally important to create beautiful individual portraits too.
What should we bring?
We have lots of beautiful outfits at the studio for your baby to wear if you’d like to, or you can bring your own clothes. Ideally clothes in one colour work best, and soft natural fabrics photograph beautifully.
The cake is provided for you at no extra cost, and we can cater for most food allergies and intolerances too. We’ve also got a few different brands of bubble bath available along with towels for your baby to use.
So really, all you need to bring is a drink and snack for your little ones. And of course, a lot of enthusiasm to help your baby feel playful and smiley!
What is my baby is ill?
If for any reason your baby isn’t well enough for the shoot then we can reschedule.
Health always comes first and we want you and your baby to be able to enjoy your session. Just let us know at your earliest opportunity and we can arrange a new date for you.
What if my baby is shy or has extra needs?
We’re used to working with babies and all their different characters and personalities. We think we’re pretty good at reading them and are very adaptable to their needs.
We also have experience of working with children extra needs, including global development delay, and babies on oxygen, feeding tubes etc.

What does it cost?
There’s no charge for the session itself, just a £49 retainer which reserves your session and is then credited against anything you order.
Wall art starts at £195 and printed collections from £495, clients usually spend anything between £300 and £1200. What you fall in love with and choose to buy is entirely up to you.
